Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park is the area of Khao Chamao Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong Province and Kanghangmaeo, Chanthaburi Province. It is one of the tourist attractions in the eastern part of Thailand, because of its the rainforest and waterbody of Rayong Province. There are a lot of plant collections as well (e.g., Rosewood, Burma padauk, Makha mong, Iron Wood, Rubber, Wild Orchid, Wan, Wild Bamboo, and Fern).
Activities
●There are two natural track routes (2 km. and 3 km. routes). Tourists can enjoy various kinds of plants and scenery.
●Observing the Khao Chamao waterfall or Khlong Nam Sai Waterfall. The height of the waterfall is 3 km. and the water coming from the waterfall is clear. Underneath the waterfall, there are several steps (e.g., wang nueng, wang matcha, wang morakot, wang chaigam, orchid cliff, narrow channel, six lines waterfall, and high cliff). Wang Matcha is the step where in river carp lives in.
●Observing panoramic scenery/view from the heaven cliff which is 1,500 meters away from the national park
●Tracking and visiting Khlong Pla Kang waterfall. The waterfall consists of seven steps including Wang Chang Paan, Lan Pesia, Ang Klea saba, Lan pratu pha, Than kor klang, Wang Krachai, and Than Saimork. The overall distance is 1.310 meters.
●Observing Khlong Hin Phloeng Waterfall. It is a waterfall of a low height located in Chantaburi Province. Its water continues running all year long.
●Visiting Khao Wong Cave nested in Limestone Mountains. There are 86 caves with stalactites and stalagmite. Only 16 of them are opened for tourists. These interesting caves include Phet cave, Lakorn cave, Lion cave, Bat cave, Rong bon cave, Turtle cave, etc.
