“Khao Laem Ya – Mu Ko Samet National Park” was founded as the 34th national park of Thailand. This national park is 123 km2. The national park consists of coasts and islands. The bodies of water, however, cover 94% of this national park. The geography consists of granite mountains around Khao Pled and Khao Laem Ya, sandy beach, and 12 km. shallow sea water surface along Mae Ram Phung beach. This national park is the national park where coasts and islands stay together in the ocean. This means that the national park consists of lands and sea. To explain, Khao Laem Ya and the west coast of Khao Laem Ya, which are located between Mae Ram Phung beach and Pae bay, are the lands. The islands are the lands in the sea. Samet island is particularly famous among tourists because it is the most beautiful island in Rayong. Moreover, there are other islands such as Chan island, Talu island, Kudi island, Kham island, and Plai Teen island.
